About Me:
Hola! my name is Ashley Frankian and I am a bilingual, veteran and certified instructor with 20 years of experience. I have taught students at grade levels K-12 and adults at the college level. I have lived and studied abroad at the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain, where I became fluent in Spanish. Currently, I am an ESOL/Spanish Instructor, teaching at the Hudson Adult Learning Center. I started BEI in order to continue to support students who want to learn or increase their Spanish language acquisition skills. My background and education in ESL, Spanish, Special Education and Speech/language Pathology will ensure that you maximize your goals with learning the Spanish language.
What are the advantages of learning Spanish at Bilingual Educational Instruction?
My Beginner and Intermediate level Spanish Classes offer learning through a multimodal approach. This targets all student's unique learning styles and specific needs. This type of approach includes the ability to learn at a deeper level, as well as, to process information more quickly. Multimodal learning involves teaching a concept using different learning methods. My classes are versatile and include visual, auditory, reading, writing, and kinesthetic activities. This method is both essential and effective with helping students to maintain and continue to learn the language successfully. I utilize Zoom and share my screen to implement strategies based on this approach.
In addition, I tailor my lessons to meet your personalized goals, so you can learn at your own pace, as I believe in a "No One Size Fits All Approach." My lessons are thematic, fun, and interactive, with a flavor of cultural awareness. You will also receive a detailed folder prior to each session in order to help you easily navigate and cruise through the lesson during class time.
